Rumblings from the New York Post today suggest that Michael Bloomberg is putting out feelers to the team who created his mayoral ad campaign. The article further notes that he does not need to make a decision about running until March 5 which is the first day independent candidates can circulate ballot petitions in states.

As the candidates on the Republican and Democratic side seem to be unable to stand up to the scrutiny of what has already been a ridiculously long campaign, it seems like the stars are aligning for a successful independent presidential candidacy from Mr. Bloomberg.
